Mac crashed, need backup to work with Windows?

My mac is crashed and my ipod is sync with Mac. Now I am using Windows Operating system. As Windows is not recognizing my ipod because of synchronization problem so I have to reformat it. But reformatting will erase all my ipod data and which I don’t want to happen. Please help me?
