How to convert HD videos to other formats?

I want to convert high-definition video formats like TRP and VOB to other formats will you please help me out by describing the steps of doing this.

soniamehra 		VOB format can easily be converted to other formats especially for Mac system by using software called VOB Converter for Mac. It takes only few steps for conversion which includes:
Step-1: Download VOB Converter for Mac and launch it after installing.
Step-2: Click “Add” button to load the video to be converted.
Step-3: Select the path where the converted file is to be stored.
Step-4: Click “Format” button to select the output format.
Step-5: To start the conversion proceedings click “Convert” button.
To view the converted video, open the destination where you have stored it.

jessicashephard 		You can easily convert the TRP HD format to other formats using software called TRP Converter. It is very effective and efficient software to perform the conversion. The step includes:
Step-1: Download TRP Converter and after installing, launch it.
Step-2: Load the file you want to convert by clicking the “Add” button.
Step-3: Select the output format by clicking the “Format” button.
Step-4: Show the path where the output file is to be stored.
Step-5: Click “Convert” button to initiate the conversion.
After that open the file and enjoy the converted video.
