How can do a large pst file smaller?

I am currently using Vista Outlook 2007 pst file for managing my personal information like emails, contacts, address, tasks and many more. My pst file is around 2GB that is why emailing is too slow. I want to split pst file into smaller. How can split my large pst file to smaller.
